Arpin & Sons, Inc., based in Broward County, Florida has been active in the construction industry for more than 3 generations. The company dates back as early as 1908 when John B. Arpin supplied road rock for the construction of Dixie Highway when it was old U.S. 1.

In 1953 Don Arpin Sr. founded the Marine Contracting business. The company's steady growth and expansion through these years began to build a reputation as one of the industry leaders in South Florida, mainly specializing in Marine Construction.

In 1977 Don Arpin Jr. left his Petro Chemical Engineering position in Tampa, Florida to take over Arpin & Sons upon his father's death. Two years later he became State Certified General Contractor under Arpin & Sons Inc. and began to focus on expanding his father's already prosperous business into a full service Construction Company. Under Arpin Jr.'s guiding hand, the company opened Residential, Commercial and Industrial and Property Management Construction Divisions.

In 1980 Don completed his E.I.T., a 5 year Mandatory work experience and completed testing to practice as a Structural & Civil Engineer, at which time the full Service Engineering and Planning Division was formed. Arpin & Sons also offers Consulting Services, Project Management, Insurance Storm/ Remediation, eight types of Inspections, Design Plans and are qualified to testify as expert witnesses in a Court of Law in Construction Lawsuits.

In 2003 Associates General Kinetics Inc. was formed as the Engineering Division. Which includes expert witness for P.I., Construction and Engineering, Inspections, Structural, Mechanical, Civil Design, and Electrical design with in-office associates, FBC special inspector requirements, 40 year Building inspections of which at least 14 have been performed in Dade & Broward Counties, roof tile uplifts, and various types of after the fact inspections.

Since 1994 Arpin & Sons Inc. as general contractors has been doing bank progress inspections for Florida Bank, Mercantile Bank, and SunTrust Bank.
